2009 Races

Hel of a Du

A cold and rainy race outside of San Antonio, lots of hills on the 3.5 mile run/27 mile bike/3.5 mile run! I had a strong race, and was first woman overall.

Newport Pie Run 5 miler

Had to do the local “turkey trot” while I was up in Rhode Island for Thanksgiving.  A very fun race, and I had a respectable time of 34:46.

ITU Long Course Triathlon World Championships
Perth, Australia  Oct 25, 2009

The race was in Perth, Australia.  I had a great race in difficult weather (wind, heat), and a half iron PR by 35 minutes.  Finish time 5:14:32, 13th place in my age group!

The Austin Tri

My last tuneup race before World’s, I had a PR by 7 minutes and was first overall female masters!

Darnd’st Du

The Texas State Duathlon Championship. I had a very fast race, finished 3rd overall woman

Howdy Du

3 mile run/17 mile bike/3 mile run – Another hot race, but fun. I was 2nd overall female, first Masters.

OnURLeft Duathlon

2 mile run/10 mile bike/2 mile run – Hot & humid, my new Zipp disc wheel helped me to a 23 mph bike avg and 2nd overall female.

Dublin Dr. Pepper 10K

A fun small town race, it was really humid.  Finished in 47:01, not great, but good enough for 1st in age group

Green Bay Marathon
Green Bay, WI  5/17/2009

Ran this with Suellen, it was her first marathon!  She finished it in 15 minutes under her goal!

Skeese Greets Tri

First triathlon of the season, my swimming was off but still a fun time.  9th overall, 1st in age group

Boston Marathon
Boston, MA  4/20/2009

My second Boston, and my best marathon time ever, 3:23:37!

Protest Duathlon

I hadn’t biked a lot lately, but held on to win first overall woman!

Austin Marathon

Another training run, I ran the last 6.2 miles at marathon pace, and finished in 3:37:27

Super 5K

A fun traditional race up in Rhode Island, cold but I had a nice time. 20:37

Runtex 20 miler

Did this as a training run, great weather and I had a good race – 2:38:24

Resolution Run 5K
