This is the 49th state I’ve run a race in (plus I’ve done D.C.), so one more to have run in every state. It was windy and humid, and hilly. I was happy with a 1:48:42.
St George half marathon
St George, UT – 10/5/24
Fun downhill race in Utah, it was a little warm but I still had a good race. My time was 1:40:07. I ran in my energizer bunny outfit.
Devil’s Challenge Tri
Baraboo, WI – 9/15/24
Super hilly sprint tri up north of Madison. It was unseasonably warm, but still a nice race. The last race of the Wisconsin Tri Series.
Ironman 70.3 Wisconsin
Madison, WI – 9/7/24
My goal race for the summer. Pleasantly cool day, especially on the run. The bike was windy, with a stiff headwind the last 20 miles. But I had a great run, and finished in 5:38:55, good for second place in my age group.
Cow Chip Classic 10k
Prairie du Sac, WI – 8/31/24
Fun local race north of Madison, and I had the cow & chips outfit to match. I came in third woman overall in 46:34.
Sugar River Tri
Belleville, WI – 8/25/24
Next to last race in the Wisconsin Tri Series. Nice tuneup before Ironman 70.3.
Provo Canyon Half Marathon
Orem, UT – 8/17/24
Downhill race in Utah, I was doing it to get a good proof of time for future Disney races, so I wore my Mickey Mouse outfit. I hoped to break 1:40, and didn’t quite make it, but ran a 1:41:07
Wisconsin Women’s Triathlon
Pleasant Prairie, WI – 8/11/24
A great sprint race in southeast Wisconsin, we had perfect weather this year. I was a couple minutes faster than last year, and finished 8th woman overall.
Madison Mini Marathon
Madison, WI – 8/10/24
Just decided to do this at the last minute, when the weather forecast looked good. It was cooler than usual, so a fun race. I ran just under 1:47.
Tri-ing for a Cure
Dousman, WI – 7/28/24
Fifth race in the Wisconsin Tri Series, I dropped down to the sprint from the olympic because I’ve been racing a lot. Had a really good race, and came in 5th woman overall.
Brewers Famous Racing Sausages 10k
Milwaukee, WI – 7/27/24
I ran this in a hot dog costume 🙂 It was awesome. Final time 46:51.
Green Lake Triathlon
Green Lake, WI – 7/21/24
An Olympic distance tri up by Fond du Lac. I nearly got hit by a car on the bike 🙁 But was able to finish safely in 2:34:35, good for 8th woman overall.
Pardeeville Triathlon
Pardeeville, WI – 7/13/24
Race #3 of the Wisconsin Tri Series, a sprint tri north of Madison. Nice day and a pretty good time, 1:19:58. Good for 9th woman overall and first in my age group.
FireKracker 5k
Fort Collins, CO – 7/4/24
An Independence Day race I ran while visiting family. Had a great run, even at altitude, finishing in 22:28.
Bear Cupboard Run half marathon
Minocqua, WI – 6/29/24
Nice small race in northern Wisconsin. I ran as Yogi Bear 🙂 Ran a 1:48:59, good for first in my age group.
Triterium olympic tri
Green Bay, WI – 6/22/24
A tough day, it rained non-stop on the bike, and I got a flat tire at mile 20 of 25. But I kept going, and finished in 3:04:03.
Milkman Triathlon half iron relay
Madison, WI – 6/9/24
I did this with some friends, as a team relay. I did the run. It was a fun day, I ran a comfortable 1:46:43.
Lake Mills Triathlon
Lake Mills, WI – 6/2/24
Kicking off tri season with a local sprint race. I did a 1:21:22, a lot slower than when I did this race 9 years ago, but still not bad for an old lady.
Run Madtown Half Marathon
Madison, WI – 5/26/24
Always love this local race. I ran the whole race hard, no holding back. Was pleasantly surprised to run a 1:43:33, my fastest non-downhill half marathons in several years. I ran as a flamingo, of course.
Bun Run 5k

Just a fun little local 5k, at the Bratfest. I ran in a hot dog costume 🙂
Green Bay half marathon
Green Bay, WI – 5/19/24
My 100th half marathon! It turned out to a be a pretty nice day, a little warm but otherwise good. I had the perfect Packers outfit (with cheesehead!). Ran a 1:47:45.
Prairie Fire half marathon
Wichita, Kansas – 5/5/24
A bucket list race for me, and my 99th half marathon. I had a “Sparky” outfit to match the race logo. It was a good day for running, and I ran a 1:47:04.
London Marathon
London, England – 4/21/24
My first international marathon and fourth of the World Marathon Majors. I ran as Crowley from Good Omens. It was quite an experience, but I did have a rough last few miles. My time was 4:12:51.
Cottontail Classic 10k
Madison, WI – 3/30/24
Always one of my favorites. I ran as a chocolate bunny with a bite out of it. Always a hilly and challenging race. I ran 46:53, 3rd woman overall.
Luck of the Irish 10k
Milwaukee, WI – 3/17/24
Last of the Winter Series races, it was very windy and cold. Right by Lake Michigan. I wore my pot of gold outfit, and ran 47:05.
Sand Hollow half marathon
Hurricane, UT- 3/9/24
Fun local race in Southern Utah, where I was visiting my mom. I ran a bit faster than last year, 1:44:33, and was first in my age group.
Cupid Shuffle 10k
Milwaukee, WI – 2/11/24
Part of the local winter run series, I wore my valentines outfit. I was 4th overall woman, 46:15.
Run Aruba half marathon
Aruba – 1/29/24
On a running vacation with Marathon Expeditions, did a half marathon along the beach and up to the lighthouse (twice!). It was hot, humid and windy, but still a lot of fun. I wore my Ariel mermaid outfit that I had planned to use at Disneyland before I got sick.
Disney World Dopey Challenge (5k/10k/half/full)
Disney World, FL – 1/4-7/24
Second year in a row to do the Dopey Challenge. Walked/ran the 5k with my two granddaughters and their parents, as characters from Inside Out. I was Chip with plush Dale for Suellen for the 10k, Beaker for the half (which was shortened to 7 miles due to storms), and a combo Mickey/Minnie Mouse outfit for the full. I ran as Mickey the first half and Minnie for the second half. I got to ride two roller coasters during the marathon, and bought a Mickey brownie at mile 25. I took a bite crossing the finish 🙂
New Years Day Dash 5 miler

Actually had good weather for this race this year, not below zero. I ran in our “new year, new ewe” sheep outfit.
